History of GMCEJ

GMCEJ Started as a non grant in aid, a self sustaining institution of the society in 1955. It is the only institution in the state which has all along during the last 50 years in academic excellence and produced thousands of trained teachers across the state of J&K in particular and country as a whole.

The college campus is situated at Raipur, Bantalab Jammu 12 kms away from Jammu bus stand. The college is well connected with the road net work and has frequent transport service available. The collage campus is spread over 14 kanals of land having five buildings. The total area of classroom is about 7000 sq.feet as per the norms of NCTE. There is sufficient provision for academic activities, administrative offices, library, girls hostel, auditorium, indoor/outdoor games, gymnasium and an all religion meditation centre. The environment nurtured by the college is conducive for stress free academic activities. The college has trained 4381 graduates from 1990-2009 and maintained a pass percentage of 86%.
